Located in the heart of Perth, a world class venue will be hosting ‘The Journey to Ending Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence Conference 2023′. The conference will be held on Level 3 (River Room) overlooking the Matagarup Bridge and Derbal Yerrigan (Swan River – Matagarup is the name given to the area arounf Heirisson Island by the Whadjuk people, the traditional custodians and means ‘place where the river is only leg deep, allowing it to be crossed’).

General Information

Climate
As a guide, temperatures in Perth during the September month (Djilba season) ranges between 11°C and 20°C.  Mid-afternoon you may need an extra layer as the Fremantle breeze ‘Freo Doctor’ blows inland.
Parking
While we highly encourage the use of public transport, there are a number of parking options available around Optus Stadium, including some parking allocated for the conference attendees. More information can be found here
Meals
We recognise that some delegates may have special dietary needs. You will have the option to select dietary requirements during the ticket check-out.
Please note: Dietary requirements received less than 72 hours prior to the event cannot be guaranteed.

All communication with registered delegates will be via email using the address provided at time of booking. If you do not receive a confirmation by email within 24 hours, please contact us via email admin@fdvconference.com.au

Indemnity
In the event of industrial disruption or other unforeseen circumstances, the Host and Organising Committee accept no responsibility for loss of monies incurred by delay or cancellation. 
Insurance
Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that all delegates take out their own travel and medical insurance prior to coming to the conference. The policy should include loss of fees/deposit through cancellation of your participation in the conference, or through cancellation of the conference itself, loss of airfares for any reason, medical expenses, loss or damage to personal property, additional expenses and repatriation should travel arrangements have to be altered. The Organising Committee will not take any responsibility for any participant failing to insure. Please speak to your travel agent or airline in regard to this matter.
Please note that cancellation or postponement may be necessary due to acts, events or causes beyond our reasonable control, including, but not limited to, acts of God, industrial disputes, failure in electricity supply or gas supply, war, civil strife, flood, storm, fire, accident, unavailability of raw materials or supplies, explosion, global health emergency, epidemic, breakdown of plant, machinery or equipment or shortages of labour, transportation, fuel, power, plant, machinery, equipment or material and refunds will only be provided at the discretion of the Organising Committee.
Ticketing Information
If, after booking the Conference, you are unable to attend you are welcome to nominate someone else to attend in your place. This will apply for both in-person and virtual tickets. If your ability to attend the event in-person is impacted by an unforeseen circumstances, and you decide that you do not want to experience the event virtually, you are welcome to transfer the full value of your registration to a colleague either to be attended in-person or virtually. Please advise substitutions to the conference team via email, so a correct name tag or virtual access can be prepared in advance.
Please note that the Journey to Ending Family, Domestic & Sexual Violence Conference 2023 has been curated as a 2-Day Conference and we highly recommend attendees to attend both days as we bring the pieces together in Prevention, Early Intervention, Response & Recovery.
Ticket Refund
60 days – No cancellation cost. Tickets can also be allocated to a different attendee or switched to a virtual ticket (Please note that booking fees are non-refundable).
30 Days – 50% cancellation fee. Tickets can also be allocated to a different attendee or switched to a virtual ticket (Please note that booking fees are non-refundable).
29 Days or under – 100% cancellation fee. Swaps can be made up to five business days before the event. Ticket swaps are available for both in-person and virtual tickets. If extenuating circumstances apply, a refund can be requested and may be granted partly or in whole at the discretion of management.
Smoking Policy
There is strictly no smoking within the Venue.
